Name: Jubilation Lee
Alias: Jubilee
Favorite Quote: "Before I became a mutant -- before I even knew I was a mutant -- I never knew there was a difference between human and mutant! I thought the idea of hating someone else for no reason was stupid! Is that all you can do, Bastion - Is this what this big fight is all about? Human's 'right' to punish -- to torture -- to hate?! Is that all you're fighting for?! If it is -- you can keep your stinkin' 'humanity'!" -- Jubilee to Bastion, Generation X #27.
Powers: Mutant ability to explode matter on the molecular scale, creating plasmoids of 'PAFFs'.
Friends: Wolverine, Jean Grey, Paige Guthrie, Everett Thomas, Penance, Illyana Rasputin (deceased)
Enemies: Sabretooth, Emplate, Bastion.
First appearance: Uncanny X-Men, #244; 1989. |

Best battle: With Wolverine and Psylocke vs. the Genoshan Magistrates in X-Tinction Agenda for the rescue of Boomer and Rictor.
Favorite storyline: After hiding out at the X-Men's Austrailen base, Jubilee rescues Wolverine from where the Reavers crucified him on a cross. This began not only Jubilee's tenor with the X-Men, but also her involvement in Logan's life.
Least favorite storyline: After taking on foes that would make Emplate look like a sissy, Jubilee becomes a weak little 13 (and a half!) year-old girl, hopelessly mired in an unrequited crush who babbled on constantly about her time with the X-Men. Suffice it to say, I have been less than pleased with Jubilee's portrayal in Generation X. |
