Raven Darkholme -- Mystique

Name: Raven Darkholme

Alias: Mystique. Mr.Raven

Powers: Superhuman mutant with shape-shifting powers.

Friends: Pyro, Destiny (deceased), Rogue, Forge.

Enemies: The X-Men, Graydon Creed (deceased), Sabretooth.

Affiliation: Rogue. Former X-Factor, Former leader of the second Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and Freedom Force.

Where she and Destiny -- uh -- you know?: Yep, at least according to Claremont who dropped as many hints as the Code would allow to establish Mytique and Destiny as lesbian lovers (this is my site, so I can come right out and say it!). He even originally intended for Destiny to be Nightcrawler's mother, with Raven having fathered him. That idea was nixed by editorial, I believe.

If she and Destiny were -- uh, you know -- then why did she sleep with Sabretooth?: Beats me.

Who're her kids?: Kurt Wagner, or Nightcrawler, is her son. His father was a Count, and when he was born with his mutant appearance, the townspeople accused her of being a demon. She flung him over a cliff to escape.

Graydon Creed is her son with Sabretooth. She apparently gave the human child up for adoption, and he was adopted by some Canadians. Graydon grew up a mutant hating monster, who began a campaign for presidency that threatened the lives of all mutants. He was eventually assasinated. The assasin may be Raven herself; if not, she is probably gunning for the killer.

Rogue is her adopted daughter, another mutant with the power to absorb people's minds and memories. After fighting agaisnt the X-Men in the Brotherhood for a time, she left to join the X-Men.

Gloria Brickman is Raven's daughter with the Senator, Ralph Brickman. She assumed the giuse of a normal woman, and played her role well. She eventually left both Gloria and Ralph.

She's in the movie!: Yes indeed folks, Raven is in the X-Men movie. She will be played by the lovely Rebecca Romijn-Stamos.
