Lorna Dane - Polaris

Name: Lorna Dane

Alias: Polaris. Formerly Malice.

Is that green hair natural?: Yep.

Powers: Magnetism. A latent mutant, Lorna's only original visible mutation was her green hair, which she used to dye brown. Later, she was exposed to a machine which awakened her latent magnetic powers.

First appearance: Uncanny X-Men #49 (vol.1)

Affiliation: X-Men, X-Factor. Formerly a Marauder (due to Malice's control.)

Favorite quote:

Havok: "Lorna and I'll go look for info on Karl Lykos."

Iceman: "Just you remember that's all you do friend! Lorna's MY chick, remember!?"

Polaris: "I'm no-one's 'chick' Bobby -- except my own! But this is neither the time nor the place to talk about that!"

Enemies: Malice, the Marauders, Mr.Sinister.

Favorite storyline: I enjoyed much of her X-Factor stint, the pocessed-by-Malice storyline, and this 'Polaris in Genosha' debatacle is really starting to look interesting. And am I the only one who liked evil AoA Polaris?

Least favorite stoyline: While the Malice story wasn't bad, Polaris seems to attract mind-control/domination/pocession like a horse attracts flies. After the 637th 'Lorna is mind-controlled and betrays her teammates' story, it kinda wears thin, ya know?

Where can she be seen?: In the upcoming Magneto Rex miniseries, X-Men, and back issues of X-Factor.
