Theresa Cassidy -- Siryn

Name: Theresa O'Rourke Cassidy Alias: Siryn. AoA Sonique. Powers: Sonic Scream, which enables her to fly. She can also talk and scream at the same time, due to her having two vocal cords. Friends: Warpath, X-Force, Deadpool (sorta) Enemies: Feral, Spiderwoman (for a little while), Juggernaut and Black Tom. And she was none to fond of Risque, James Proudstar (Warpath's) old girlfriend, even before Risque betrayed them! Affliliation: X-Force. Former ally of Black Tom and the Juggernaut. Favorite storyline: X-Force 31, hands down. Warpath helps Terry cope with and face her alcohol problem. Least favorite storyline: After Feral rips out her throat, she completely disapears from X-Force! Boo!

History: Born the infant daughter of mutant and IRA operative Sean Cassidy and his wife, Maeve, Terry grew up a ward of her cousin, Black Tom Cassidy.. Theresa's father was away on a case at the time of her birth, and so did not learn of her existence until many years later. When her mother took her to visit relatives they were caught in a terrorist bombing. Maeve was killed, but Sean's cousin Tom Cassidy rescued the baby girl. Realizing she would probably be a mutant like her father and himself, he allowed the authorites to think she had been killed also so he could raise her himself. Becoming involved in petty crime, Tom sent her away to boarding school while she was still a child, where she became aquainted with alcohol. Later, she launched a brief (very brief) super-villain career alongside her cousin and his cohort, the Juggernaut. After giving up her sojurn into crime, she finally met her father Sean, who know went by 'Banshee' and was an X-Man. After being recruited into X-Force, Theresa became friends (and perhaps more?) with fellow mutant James Proudstar, who helped her kick her alcoholism. Tired of being blown hot and cold by Terry (who couldn't make up her mind whether she wanted a romantic relationship with him or not) James got 'led astray' by a cute little brunette named Risque. Theresa, meanwhile, was cooling off her sorta-romantic, sorta-not friendship with Deadpool, mostly 'cause 'Pools idea of a good time was hunting down and attempting to kill her relatives. After getting her throat slit by Feral, Theresa left the team after considering suicide to live with an aunt. Terry recently regained her sonic powers with help from Deadpool and Wolverine. First appearance: Spider-woman #7. Nationality: Irish, even though some writers have incorrectly called her Scottish. Go figure, huh?

Favorite quote: Theresa: "Be a good boy Wade, and I'll give ye a lolly-pop!" Deadpool: "A sucker? Mmmmmm...." Theresa: "Get ye're mind outta th' gutter!" -- Deadpool #4.
