Elizabeth Twoyoungmen -- Talisman

Name: Elizabeth Twoyoungmen

Alias: Talisman. The Binder of Spirits

Affiliation: Alpha Flight. Formerly a Beta Flighter.

Occupation: Professional mage and sorceress. Archaeology student.

First appearance: Alpha Flight #10.

Powers: Talisman is capable of manipulating all forms of magic. She can use it to cast spells, command spirits, levitate, and prophesy the future.

Friends: Shaman (Michael Twoyoungmen, father). Talisman and Shaman have a somewhat rocky relationship; when Elizabeth was young, her mother became deathly ill. Shaman promised to save her life, but was unable. This has caused a major rift between the two for years.

Enemies: Dream Queen, Llan, the Great Beasts.

Nationality: Elizabeth was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Favorite storyline: While at an archaeology dig, Elizabeth finds a cairn with an ancient and mystic object inside it. Before she could touch it, she passed out. While unconscious, she was contacted by Snowbird, who informed her that the Dream Queen was coming to Earth, and that Talisman must stop her. After contacting AF, she became Talisman again and set out to defeat Dream Queen.

Least favorite storyline: Before going out to the Eye of the World, Talisman is stopped by her father, who tries to convince her not to go, fearing for her life. Talisman's reaction to this is to turn around and blast her father through a wall! While theirs is not the most stable father/daughter relationship, there is nothing in their past relations with each other that would suggest Talisman is capable of such violence and foolishness.

Where can she be seen?: Formerly a member of Alpha Flight. But I haven't heard much from her since that title's cancellation.
