So, you're interested in joining an Imperial squadron? But do you want to avoid all the strict Imperial doctrine? Then Omega Squadron is for you! Omega is considered to be the "Black Sheep" of the Empire, as Omega Squadron combines it's own styles of fighting methods with unpredictable behavior to form a truly lethal selective strike unit. Members are encouraged to serve the Empire with enthusiasm, and do everything they can to destroy the Rebels! Omega is comprised of several different units, or strike wings. Each wing has it's own fighting style and variety of attacks. The Predators, a primarily dogfighting focused wing, like to go all out against their opponents, while the Fists, a heavy assault wing, like to rely on their fanatical killer instinct. The Coyotes prefer to fly in a manner that many consider to be a totally insane, suicidal approach, shown by the trademark ramming attack!
Under Imperial doctrine, Omega would be considered to be a wing, and each unit would be called a squadron, and be limited to twelve pilots. As a tactical move, to both make the rebels underestimate its true strength and allow for stronger Strikewings, the terms were switched. The units that make up Omega Squadron are the following:Waskily Wabbits - This unit is Omega's training wing. It consists of novice level pilots and has minimal requirements. The current Commanding Officer is Tzadkiel - Omega 43
The Fists of the Empire - This unit consists of the GUN & MIS Strikewing and the T/B training wing. The Fists primary missions are heavy assault and covert operations. Their specialty is in killing capital ships. The current Fist Leader is Strider - Omega 61
The Flying Predators - This unit consists of the T/A & MIS Strikewing and the T/I training wing. The Predators primary missions are escort and fighter sweeps. Their specialty is in dogfighting starfighters. The current Predator Leader is Ripper - Omega 94
The Eagle's Eye - This unit consists of the T/I(s) & T/E Strikewing. The Eagles primary missions are reconnaissance, support, and ambushs. Their specialty is in information gathering and support for the other units as well as making sneak attacks. The current Eagle Leader is WildKat - Omega 102
The Wiley Coyotes - This unit consists of the T/D Strikewing. The Coyotes primary missions are space superiority, surprise attacks and suicidal missions. They are the elite aces of Omega. The current Coyote Leader is Open
