< The evening news of Network 23 for 6/28/57.
After the theme music and 3d video are finished, a rotating globe is shown, various points on it have a flashing red dot. The globe unfolds to fill the entire screen with a map of the world, the 11 dots still flashing on it. A female voice starts to read out names of men and women, each one followed by the location of one of the red dots on the map. A full sized picture of a man or woman is shown on the screen with their title and name below it, and then shrinks to a smaller picture next to the corresponding place on the map.>

In the next bit, instead of a face a big question mark appears.
"Unknown target, Tenochtitlan.
Aztechnology Australasia Division Head Paul Lord. London.
Vice President Aztechnology Northwest Salvador Ramirez, Seattle."
The map moves to the background, the faces and names still on it. A blond young man, and a woman with long dark hair are now seen sitting in front of a news desk. Subtitles identify them as "John Smith" and as "Linda Jey". Linda looks at the camera and continues speaking.
"The man and women you have just seen share two important facts. All of them are Vice Presidents or higher ranking members of the Aztechnology corporation, and all of them were the victims of an assassination attempt at about 1am tonight, Seattle time.
Except for Carmencita Rico, Salvador Ramirez and the unknown target or targets in Tenochtitlan, all assassination attempts were successful, most of them done with surprising power.
A brief summery of the assassinations will follow, but first - stay tuned for  these short messages."

"And for a brief summery of the rest of tonight's assassinations..."  Linda resumes her all business tone as she starts to describe the various assassination attempts. Each one is followed by a full screen video or still picture, with a face or faces in the corner.

< The screen shows a burning wreckage of a car. The subtitle says 'Bonn' > "Vice President Juan Hernandez, Aztechnology Europe HQ. Killed by a car bomb."
< A picture of an ambulance. Two men are bringing a covered body on a stretcher inside. Subtitle says 'Berlin'> "Senior Executive Vice President Jose Escobedo. Knifed in the back by an invisible assailant while touring a subsidiary."
< A picture of the Eiffel Tower. The subtitle says, unsurprisingly, 'Paris' > "Vice President Sarah Esposito, Magical Research Division, European branch. Killed by a team of snipers firing from the Eiffel Tower, who  were able to escape."
< The picture shows the ruins of a building, some parts  of  it are still smoking, and one wooden table can be seen turned upside down, half burnt.  Rescue teams are searching the derbies, pulling out bodies and bits of bodies. The subtitle says 'Moscow' > "Dozens of people were killed when a powerful bomb exploded in these popular cafe, among them was Vice President of Russian Division, Sergei Malenkovich. Local law officials claim they suspect involvement of  the Russian Mafia."
< The picture shows the black mass of the Ares arcology as the subtitle flashes 'Detroit' > "No information was released about the method of death of Vice President Aztechnology Midwest, Enrico Portobello. We will provide more details about the events in Detroit as soon as we can."
< The picture shows a man coming out of a limousine, heavily guarded by quite a few bodyguards. The subtitle identifies the place as 'Los Angeles' > "Target was Chief Financial Officer for the entire AZT megacorp, Carmencita Rico. Rico's limousine trail was assaulted as it proceeded through Beverley Hills by a magically masked vehicle. The mask was pierced by security forces, and assaulted by the security as they sped off. A pair of drones strafed the retreating vehicles, and security forces are certain of at least one death, but none of the hit team was captured."
< The picture shows an hotel. Various police-lines surround it, as well as cars with flashing lights on top of them. The subtitle says 'Atlanta'> "NA Division Head, Vice President Carlos Perez, was shot and killed while sleeping in this hotel, the posh Royal Arms hotel. Hotel security and his elite bodyguard team all were inexplicably slain via a variety of means. No alarms were raised. Local law forces are still baffled by the event"
< The screen shows yet more derbies, a much larger scale this time. Total destruction. > "A large explosion at the this Aztechnology housing complex took the lives of about four hounded people, including Aztechnology Denver Chief Operations Officer, his wife, and his children. On a simultaneous event, at the opposite end of the Aztlan quarter,. Aztechnology NA-Southwest head Stefano Cortez was killed with a large monosword, alongside with his security team, as he was visiting a gambling parlor."
<The screen shows from a distance the flat topped pyramids of Tenochtitlan, and the subtitle agrees.> "Another failed assassina1tion attempt took place in Tenochtitlan where numerous raids on various headquarters operations of Aztechnology executives had failed and no less than three assassination teams were wholly eliminated by crack Aztechnology security teams."
< A picture of the famous Big Ben. Security forces are trying to keep away a small crowd, The subtitles flashes to match to picture: 'London' > "Aztechnology Australasia Division Head Paul Lord was slain while visiting the Big Ben. A GMC Banshee somehow got past London's military forces and landed near the monument, opening fire at the crowd, killing among rest, Mr. Lord. "
