Unseen
University is the Discworld's Premier and most Prestigious Institution
in the training of Wizards and is the occult centre of not only Ankh-Morpork
but indeed the entire Disc. Opportunities exist for keen students in the
Eight Orders of Wizardy, as well as in the newly developed field of High
Energy Magic.
Unseen University was founded about 2000 years ago in AM1282 by the Great Alberto Malich. It is rumoured that Alberto Malich outwitted Death Himself, though this may simply be a colourful tale to impress the kiddies.
