The Warren

Verses

"The Dark," by Rachel Storey

In the deep and dusky dark,
Floating leaf spirals down;
A dancing pattern on the air
In the dusky dark.

In the sweet and silky dark,
Gentle breezes blow about;
Sweet perfume of the night
In the dusky dark.

In the velvet, sultry dark,
Chirping crickets sing their song;
Quiet music to soothe the soul
In the dusky dark.

In the soft and misty dark,
Tiny dewdrops sparkle in the moonlight;
The faeries' magical pixie dust
In the dusky dark.

In the deep and dusky dark,
Restless hearts find here peace;
Enchanted world where dreams are made
Here, in the dusky dark.
