Migrant Blood
Minor
Derivations: all
This regent can suffer bloodtheft from any individual blooded or not.If
the slayer is unblooded then he gains one bloodline point, this ability
as a minor ability, and a tainted bloodline of this derivation. If the
slayer is a blooded scion then he gains this ability and the victims derivation
(any blood abilityies now uncompatible with the scion's derivation are
re rolled).
This bloodability may seem more like a curse, but that is only one
way to look at it. In fact it makes sure the bloodline to which it belongs
will never die out. It benefits the line as opposed to the individual belonging
to it.
Any way, this means that when scions with this ability are slain by
sahaguin then the bloodlines move into the ocean, where it will
naturaly spread through the maritime races as they war with each other.
With time the line will cross the ocean and, when a blooded sahaguin raids
a coastal town, back on to land, preferably on another continent. Again,
the blooded regents would gain power and be able to establish domains and
holdings (although magic would work differently). These regents would be
able to use their RP to expand their bloodlines and voila! bloodlines in
other realms.
This of course leads to another idea. Under sea domains should also
develop. I wonder what these would be like... and how much source would
they have?
