This blood ability allows the scion to
transform his hand into a chilling weapon. The scion's hand glows with
a pale purple light while the power is in effect. If a creature is touched
by the scion while the power is active the target takes 2-5 hp of chilling
damage and must save vs. spell or loose one point of strength for one turn.
The strength draining effect is cumulative with multiple touches, and anyone
brought to zero strength by this power falls unconscience for one turn.
A successful combat hit is required to deliver the touch, but the target
may only count dexterity and magical adjustments when calculating AC. The
target's save vs. the strength drain effect is modified by the scion's
bloodstrength as follows: Tainted grants the target a +1 bonus to the save,
Minor allows an unmodified save, Major grants a -1 penalty to the save,
Great grants a -2 penalty, and True grants a -4 Penalty to the save. Note
that this power has no effect on undead, unlike the chill touch spell.
The power is usable once per day and lasts for 1 round per 5 points of
the scion's bloodstrength.
