Using this power a scion of Azrai can inflict wracking pain in a target with but a touch. When activated, the power causes the scion's hand to glow with a faint red shimmer. If the scion makes a successful combat hit on the target (counting only dexterity and magical protection for determining AC) the target must save vs. spell or have their nervous system overloaded with pain. Targets wracked with pain have a -2 penalty to their THAC0, AC, and initiative, and can cast no spells until the pain wears off in 1-4 rounds. The power causes no actual damage, may be used once per day, and lasts for two rounds per level. The saving throw vs. the pain effect is modified by the scion's bloodline strength as per the Shadow's Chill power. Note that multiple hit on the same target have no cumulative effect.
