Mebhaevril is an interesting metal that
is similar to that of tighmaervil and was in fact created by the same great
elven weaponsmith, Ghoignwnnwd. Mebhaevril is a bluish gray metal
that is exceedingly cool to the touch. Mebhaevril is similar in design
to tighmaevril but there are differences in the magical properties. Tighmaervil
channels the bloodline of one dead scion into that of a another.
Mebhaevril however, uses the wielder's bloodline as an extention of its
own pwer.
The magical power of mebhaevril weapons
are equal to the wielder's bloodline strength divided by 20 (rounded up),
to a maximum of 5. The value is then applied as a bonus to
Hit and to Damage.
For example, Aeric, an Anuirian fighter
(bloodline strength of 34) is wielding a mebhaevril bastard sword, the
sword cahnnels Aeric's bloodline strength into a +2 Bonus to Hit and a
+2 Bonus to Damage. (34/2 = 1.7, roundded up = 2).
Currently there are 5 such mebhaevril weapons know to exist. They are fashioned in the forms of a bastard sword, a broad sword, a long sword, and 2 daggers.
