This awnshegh looks like a faceless vos warrior. he is completely hairless and smooth, with deep purple- red skin. His voice appears to come from all around. He appears cool to the touch, but is impossible to get a grip on; attempting
to grasp him more than just lightly causes the grasping hand to pass through him as if through smoke. He walks slowly, gracefully at times, but when it is required he can flit about like the shadows thrown by a bonfire.

Combat: The Shade tends to avoid physical combat at all costs. He prefers to allow his enemies to destroy themselves. However, when combat is truly neccessary, he uses his spells to attack. He casts his spells at 12th level ability.
He also has the ability to cast chill touch at will. This is used at first level ability.
The shade also has the ability to turn into a liquid, mobile shadow form. Although he can do this at will, it takes one full round for the change to take place. Thus he uses this ability to escape combat only when the situation is  desperate.

History: Once the commoner Ankin Skildaker, the shade was born in the kingdom of Aerenwe. He gained his awnsheghlien powers when he slew the former king of Aerenwe to allow his friend and ally Liliene Swordwraith to ascend the throne. The dark blood of the dead king then surged into his veins, and Ankins eyes were opened to greed. He saw the power of the Table of Belinik and he sought to make use of its dark powers. When Liliene learned of what happpened to her friend she was distraught. She knew that she would have to slay him, but she did not want to risk passing his bloodline to some other person. Thus she walled him into the tower with the Table of Belinik.
In the tower Ankin survived, slowly absorbing the power of the table, and eating the rats that would enter. By the time that he was freed by Liliene's son, Gavin, He was a full- fledged awnshegh.

Plans: The Shade plans to gain Gavin's trust until he deems it appropriate to give the regent Sheghsleibhenn the sword that will
ultimately prove his downfall. The Shade will then usurp the throne of Aerenwe.
