Chamberlain or Emperor of the Anuirean Empire. They can not be specifically mustered because they are a knightly order with a limited number of members and they do not accept just anyone into their ranks. They have no maintenance because they serve out of loyalty.

Description: The Knights of the Iron Throne originated from the shattered remains of Michael Roeles elit units, (the one that campaigned with him in the Shadow World). They felt like they had faild their task of keeping Michael Roele alive and they also felt like they had betrayed him.
To redeem themself they have taken it upon themself to find the new emperor. The Knights of the Iron Throne is a semi-secret order, it is known that the order exist and that is members are the finest, bravest and best knights in the whole of Anuire. To become a member one must first be sponsored by an already exsisting member then the pledge is given the sacret quest of finding one person worthy of becomeing the the next emperor and they must also atone (as a paladin would when he has commited a sin) for each person of Anuirean decent that they have killed.
The order don't have a "leader" instead all members are given "one vote" and the decissions are then taken by a wote and the ones that have 2/3 majority are passed. This will not always be so. It is stated that the one that "found" the person that becomes chosen by the Chamberlain as the new emperor will become the head of the order, this gives the members an incentive to chose only worty candidates when they are on their initiation quest. They have given no leader since they are all equal and only take orders from the Emperor. They have different titles, such as Knight Commander, Knight Prefect, etc., but in the end they all have an equal say in decisions that affect the entire order. They do have an "unofficial" leader and that is and will always be the Knight that has served the longest time in the order and that Knight will try to stay as close to the Chamberlain as possible to serve as some sort of communications channel between the order and the Chamberlain
The reason for the atonement is they no knight of the order may take the life of a person of Anuirean decent. This is because, as they see it, every Anuirean is a potential emperor. This is mainly because of three reasons:
     a) The person who rules the Anuirean empire should be of Anuirean decent.
     b) Since anyone can get a Andurias bloodline through bloodline investiture even unblooded individuals can become blooded and therefor anyone can become a regent.
If they take the life of a person of anuirean decent after they have been initiated into the order they will imidiately be made to leave the order and the only way that one may leave the order is by death. This has it's root in the battle when the last emperor died and every member of the order took an oath, which they still take to this day, that says that the only thing that can releave a Knight of the Iron Throne from his duties is death.
This also makes the knights fanatics. They will never ever suffer a falback result and if they are subjected to a rout result they will instead suffer two hits. For rout resluts caused by magic the knights get a saving throw, if they succed they will only suffer a hit, if they fail the save they will suffer two hits instead of the rout result. If the rout result results in the elimination of the unit they will make a "last stand", this means that they are allowed to make one last attack before the die. This last stand is because to rout would be to fail in their duties and since the only thing that can releave them of their duties is death, they see it as thier duty to die before they can be allowed rout. Because of the skill and prowess of the members of the order they save against spells as knights and they get a +4 bonus to their saveing throw.
Another benefit they get is a +1 bonus to all attacks against units personally commanded by awnsheghs. If the amnshegh should happen to be the Gorgon they are always concidered to make their saves against any spell cast against them by the Gorgon or anyone of his minions, they aslo get an extra  +1 on their movement and they must charge the unit which the Gorgon commands. This fanatical charge against the gorgon is because they see it as a chance to once and for all clear the name of the order from their shamefull failure the last time they confronted the Gorgon.
It is not known how or why any Anuirean that is "killed" by the war card is just made to leave the battle. The only theory is that since they are protectors of the Iron Throne (the throne of Anuire, Haelys people) they are in some way blessed by haelyn so that they can help the Chamberlain. This theory has come about since Haelyn is the lord of noble combat the opponents aren't killed but merely made to see that they have lost the battle an aren't allowed to continue to fight in that battle. In game terms this means that any Anuirean unit that is destoyed by the Knights of the Iron Throne isn't killed and will be returned unharmed to the controlling   regent after the battle is over.
Since their is no emperor at the moment but they still see themselves as servants of the empire they will only take orders from the Chamberlain or another high official of the empire.
