Well, if you're here then you must want to know more about me (although I can't imagine why)

My name is Scott, and I am a computer analyst/technician living in a big city in the midwest, working for the service center of a large financial corporation based out of California. I have a wife and two kids, ages 12 and 10. We live out in the suburbs, in a medium-sized home with nice yard.

Hmm... my past. Well, I was born here in the midwest, but haven't always stayed here. I graduated from Warren Central High School in 1982 (OK... now let's see. 18 in 1982... that would make me... uh, 39 years old -- for all you who are curious about those kind of things), and went on to college at IUPUI. I didn't finish at the time, as I decided to join the Army Reserves and spend a little time in basic training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. I spent several years both before and after basic training working for several places... McDonald's, a warehouse plant, a microfiche processing place, and finally a local bank.

Around 1987, I decided to go full time in the Army and wound up at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. My permanent duty station was in Fort Drum, New York, up in the Adirondack Mountains. I was part of the 10th Mountain Division there -- the Frozen Chosen. I spent four years active duty, where I met my wife, and married her. We had our first child while I was still on active duty, and I almost missed it due to a little scuffle called Desert Storm.

We then came back to my hometown where I completed both my Associates and Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology (I also got a General Studies degree while in the Army from the local community college). I've worked several places since coming home including a family owned graphics shop, a hospital, and the financial company I work for now.

I enjoy science fiction and fantasy, horror, and thriller/suspense books, especially if they involve things out of the ordinary. I don't mind the outdoors (probably from all those years spent in the woods with the Army), although I much prefer the indoors. My parents have both been divorced and remarried -- and my wife's parents have moved here in town to be closer to us and the grandkids. I have one brother and two sisters, and I am the oldest child in the family. What little time I have left to me after the family and school and work (and cleaning house, ugh) ... I spend reading books and comics, and watching movies on cable.

So there you have it... the whole story in a nutshell. I probably left out all the interesting parts, but maybe one day I'll write my autobiography and you can all pay me big bucks to read the book. (HA!)
