He wasnt there when the vamps broke in and literally sacked the library, so he didn't know about Willow being unconcious in the hospital. So, by the time Xander calls him and he gets up there, Willow is just now coming out of it. He sits down by her side and takes her hand. Willow asks him if her head is big and he sweetly tells her that its just head size and he then kisses her forehead- awwwww. Once Willow is sitting up and feeling better, she decides to do the ritual over again and so she sends Oz and Cordy to get her things and on the way to get them Cordelia filled him in on what happened. When they get back with the materials he and Cordy help Will preform the spell that restores Angel's soul. Since they didn't know what happened to Angel and Buffy he was there at school wheeling Willow around to classes in wonder of where Buffy was.
