Cotton is back and has a much bigger role in this film. He first shows up on campus when Gale almost literally shoves him in Sid's face just to make some more head lines and get more publicity. Needless to say Sidney gets pissed-punches Gale and walks away. Cotton had thought the whole time that the interview had been set up-not just something spur of the moment sprung upon Sidney. He also gets mad at Gale. His main purpose it to get back in the head lines and clear his name. But nobody wants him without Sidney-but it'll take some persuasion to get Sidney to go on 20/20 with him.

When Sid is almost attacked in the campus library-Cotton shows up and scares her while she is waiting for her new personal security guards to check the place out. He very meanly and forcefully asks her to go on the talk shows with him-when she refuses he gets even more hostile. But Sid gets him away when the police guys show up and arrest his ass. But Cotton gets off cause the police have nothing to hold him on. Sounds very Billy Loomish hunh?=)

But alas-Cotton isn't the killer. He shows up at the end and almost gets persuaded to join forces with Mrs. Loomis but Sid tells him she'll do the talk show and he blows her ass away!=) At the end when all the reporters go to Sid-thinking she saved the day-she tells them it was Cotton and so now Cotton can finally clear his name to the press. Ahhh...happy ending=) Yeah right! Wait till Scream 3 and see what happens!
