Cujo is a pretty cool movie, while watching it--I found myself wanting and hoping and
getting frightened right along with the characters. It takes a while for us to get to the
'scary' stuff, quite a long while frankly. But when they do get to it, you aren't disappointed.
A woman takes her son to a automobile repairman that has his barn beside his house as his
shop to get her car fixed. Unknown by her though, the wife and son of his have gone to
her sisters and the man has been literally eaten alive by his rabid dog. Her car starts to die
when she is driving up to the house and finally does die when she gets to a spot she can
park. She gets out of her car and looks around to see that no one is home and almost
immediately the dog, Cujo, attacks her and terrifies the little boy. He is
about 4 or 5 and an absolute doll. She tries to start her car, but of course it wont start.
They are stuck there with no food or water in the summer heat with no one to help them.
Over the course of the couple days they are there, the little boy stops breathing and has
asthma attacks or something, but she continues to keep him alive. While they are
frightened of leaving the car, they have to...
I really dont want to spoil the whole movie, cause it is actually quite good. I know most
people dont like movies based on novels by Stephen King, but I like this one. So, go and
rent it and see for yourself!=)

novel version is said to be much better than the movie. I haven't personally read it myself yet-but with personal experience with other Stephen King novels and the movies made about them I'm going to have to go with the general consensus. Click HERE for the hardcover version, |
