Fall Into Darkness is a book by Christopher Pike made into a made for TV movie and I decided to put her here cause its a really good mystery/thriller!
This story is mainly about Ann and Sharon. Sharon is a music student on her wasy to Juliard becuase of her talent on the piano. Ann is a thrill seeker that will do anything to get a rush.
Their paths cross first when Sharon sees a girl standing on the rail of a bridge with a bunch of kids around her telling her not to do it but the girl jumbs and we then see she is attactched to a bungee cord. They meet formally at Ann and her brother Jerry's party at their house which Sharon was invited by Jerry to attend. Sharon gets ticked off by Ann and her rudeness and winds up playing the piano at the party and making friends with people there.
The next morning they show up at her door and ask her to go camping with them and after some persuasuion, Sharon agrees to go.
There she gets to know them better and we learn that Ann, her boyfriens Paul and his brother Chad (who both live with Ann and Jerry) are rock climbers. We then see the gang at a club and there Jerry makes a move on Sharon and she turns him down. the next day we see Jerry up in Chad's loft drinking his beers and reading his diary and Chad seems pretty calm about it but Jerry keeps taunting him and professes he has read his entire diary.
When Ann and Paul pull up that night at thier house cops are all around and we find out that Jerry has been killed down at the train tracks. Ann finds out that Sharon turned Jerry down and figures he got drunk because of her which inreturn took him to the train tracks and killed him. So there for Sharon killed Jerry. Or at least thats what Ann thinks. And she vows to get revenge on Sharon.
Ann gets Paul to help her and they stage her revenge. Sharon will never no what hit her. Ann talks her into going on a weekend camping trip so it will be 'just like old times again' and after she agrees-the plan is all set. They get there and are all buddy buddy till that night.
Ann picks a fight with Sharon and she runs off into the woods to get away from her and cool down. Paul tells Ann to go after and calm her down. And Ann goes to check where Sharon went then goes to the cliff and set up her climbing gear on herself and the screams out: "Sharon! Sharon-No!" and then jumps off the cliff.
They all run towards the screams-Sharon gets there first and can't find or see Ann, the others soon arrive and send Paul down the side of the cliff to look for her but he just cuts loose the rope which she fell on and accidentally drops his knife. They go down river to look for her-all splitting up and they all find their way back to where Sharon is waiting for them to return.
They are taken down to the police station and Sharon is then arrested and put in jail on murder charges.
A few days later-Paul sees the get-away car getting towed into a gas station and that night he breaks in and gets to the car to check to see if he bags are still there and they are. The police catch him and he is taken down to the police station where he confesses to their plot against Sharon and Paul is then arrested for suspision of murder. And Sharon is released. Meanwhile-Ann nor her body have been found.
Sharon keeps thinking she is seeing Ann around and thinks she is stalking her and her and Chad try to get to the bottom of all of it. Paul asks Chad to go look for the knife he dropped cause he thinks Ann might be trying to frame him and will use the knife against him so Sharon and Chad go back to the scene of the crime. After being there for a while and not finding anything Chad decides to show Sharon his favorite little spot in some cave.
After wadding across some water and sharring a kiss with Chad, Sharon sees Ann's ring that Chad had given her on a rock and grabs it. When she drops it and goes to look for it-she finds Ann's dead body. Sharon figures that its Paul since Chad had shown him that place before and they start heading back tothe car to go to the police.
Meanwhile back in town they have found a dead body of one of their friends in Ann's house where Chad had been staying by his self and they go looking for Chad.
Back in the woods Sharon starts to put the peices of the puzzle together and when they get to this tree trunk she and he have to go over she pushes him and starts to run. The big chase scene goes on with Sharon at the cliffs edge and down on a rope.
Well-Do the good guys ever die? Hell no-so of course Sharon finally beats him buy him falling to his death to the rocky botom of the mountain.

wild bunch and gets into the partying crowd-in the end she wishes she had made better friends. The book version is just like the movie with the exception of a few small things, so if you haven't seen the movie yet-or can't find it anywhere and are intrigued with it--check out the book--its the next best thing!
