In my personal opinion, Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 is far better than the first. Yes, you heard
me right. Most of the time, the first it better than the second, but in this case, I really like
the second more than the first.
Why do I think its better? Well, sit down for a while, let me tell ya!=) First of all, the
Cenobites were the best part of the first Hellraiser, right? Right. And in Hellraiser 2, we
get to know them better instead of the whole story revolving around Frank and Julia. But
its even better when we find out that Frank and Julia have returned and Julia is so much
more evil in this one. We get to know where the Cenobites are from also. The story is so
much more
detailed and I think thats why its so good.
It takes place directly after the first, Kirsty is no in a mental hospital an no one seems to
believe her story of what happened that night, but soon we come to find out that someone
does believe her. The head doctor at the institute has a fixation with the Cenobites and has
many articles, puzzle boxes, pictures and many other form of information on them. He
gets a hold of the mattress Julia was killed on and takes one of his patients where the
bed is and proceeds to let the guy cut himself up and bleed all over the mattress to bring
Julia back the same way Frank had been. He nursed her back to life by bringing men and
women for her to kill and take their energy and bodily stuff from and by the time another
doctor finds out whats going on and tells Kirsty-Julia is back. They go to the Doctors
house where Julia proceeds to kill the young doctor that Kirsty has be-friended and knock
Kirsty out so that the young mute puzzle box solver at the institute can open the gates to
hell and bring fourth the terror of Pinhead and his minions. Thats all I'll say, go and rent it
if you want to know the ending=)
