Ok, yes guys--this movie is going to happen! One of these days at least! A Nightmare on Friday the 13th isn't the set title for the movie-but its one of them that are being thrown up there. Not much is known about when the movie will be in theaters, but some are saying we might have in in 1998! Will it be Freddy vs Jason or both of them working with each other? Most likely Freddy vs. Jason. This movie is known as Friday the 13th X: The Freddy vs Jason Movie and also Nightmare on Elm St. 7: Freddy vs. Jason. Who knows-but I'm hoping it'll be A Nightmare on Friday the 13th-that sounds the coolest. I'll keep you updated as information comes in-and besure if you've heard something you tell me!=)

NEW as of February 26th, 1998
Alrighty, not much new is known as of the moment, but I do know that the movie is supposed to be out sometime most likely in 1999, they are shooting for a release date around Late Spring, durring the Summer or early fall. This movie has had so many set-backs there is no telling though when we will feast our eyes upon it.
But for news as it comes in, here is a link to the unofficial Freddy Vs. Jason Website:

NEW as of April 17, 1998
September 13th 1999 is said to be the official release
date for the Freddy vs. Jason movie in the USA.

NEW as of May 2nd, 1998
Rumors have it that Lisa Wilcox, Alice in Nightmare on Elm St.'s 4 & 5 will be in it, if you'll remember, she didn't die. Another prospect is that Freddy's daughter could be in it also. I'm not sure about survivors of Jason's wraith though because I haven't seen a lot of the Friday the 13th movies. Anyways, I think Lisa and or the woman who played his daughter in Nightmare 6 would be great for the movie....that is IF it ever gets made of course!

NEW as of June 1st, 1998
The film is said to be directed and written by Rob Bottin (first attempt at Directing, but has acted in The Fog and Humanoids from the deep. He was an assosiate producer in The Howling, and he has done a lot of special effects work in over 25 movies since 1976). Sean Cunningham (Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday) will be producing. It has been heard that New Line Cinema was unhappy with previous scripts and Rob Bottin will be re-writing it. This is the biggest reason for the delay to a 99 release.

NEW as of August 3rd, 1998
I know info for this film is VERY slow coming, but with it not even barely in the production phase-info will be knida tight. Anyways, at the VSDA show a couple of weeks ago was Mr. Krueger himself Robert Englund whom a scooper for Dark Horizon's, 'Kevin', managed to bump into and ask about the much-anticipated horror flick due out next year. Englund said that he is about to begin makeup tests within the next month or so, and is very excited to be working with Director Rob Bottin (New Line has apparently been very pleased with Bottin's early thoughts and efforts on the project). Englund's words - "This won't be a disappointment!".
