This movie is about a family (The Torrences' -Jack, Wendy and Danny) going to the Overlook Hotel to be the keepers till next opening season. In this hotel, a previous keeper had gone insane and chopped his wife and twin girls into itty bitty peices.

Right when they first get there we learn about Dany's powers. He has the ablity to shine. (To read minds/talk without speaking and see visions.) After everone else is gone-we instantly see a change in Jack's demeanor. He statrs yelling at his wife for nothing at all and staring at nothing out the window with a very visious look on his face. Ans two very errie little twin girls in dresses keep poping up around Danny.

This is a very well writen script and as I have heard and would assume a very good book also. I would really rahter not spoil the endnig for you-so go rent it if you haven't seen it! Its excellent!

The Shining gets

Hardcover	As with all Stephen King books, The Shining, the novel version is said to be much better than the movie. I haven't personally read it myself yet-but with personal experience with other Stephen King novels and the movies made about them I'm going to have to go with the general consensus.
