Several have asked about the closing of GeoCities
and how that will affect our Arkansas Grand Chapter Website.
Following is the information we received from Yahoo/GoeCities:

GeoCities is closing, but your site will not change.
We're closing GeoCities on October 26, 2009, but as a valued GeoCities Plus customer,
you won't experience any change to your site.
After we close,
you can upgrade your GeoCities Plus account to Yahoo!
Web Hosting at no extra charge for five years.

When you move to Web Hosting, you'll gain some great features,
including a personalized domain name (like widgetdesigns.com),
matching email, our easiest-to-use site building tool, 24-hour phone support, and more.
After October 26, when you sign in to your GeoCities Control Panel,
we'll ask you to choose a domain name.
Then you'll sign in to your new Web Hosting Control Panel
much like you signed in here today.

You don't need to do anything to prepare.

For more information, please visit the help center.

**********

WE trust there will be no problems for members as this is changed over.
We would like for you to keep this committee in your prayers as
we go through this changeover and continue to serve you.

I want to thank everyone for
the cards and prayers I received.
I really enjoyed the cards and appreciated the prayers.
I had my staples removed on Wednesday and
everything looked great according to the doctor
just have to stay at home a while longer.

Gwen is glad I am doing better also.
Thank you again for thinking of me.

To all of our O.E.S Sisters and Brothers,
There are not enough words to express what is in my heart.
How much we appreciate the prayers, cards that were sent to us,
donations to some of our Charities
and phone calls.

Mother loved the Eastern Star and all whom
she had meet here in state and out.

Sorry it has taken me a while to express my thanks to everyone.
It is great to belong to O.E.S. that really cares for each other
and will stand by you in many ways.

In Star Love

To all of our OES Sisters & Brothers,
There are not adequate words to tell you how much we appreciate
all the cards, calls & prayers that were being sent up for us.

It is so great to be a part of an organization that really
cares for each other and stands by you when the bumps come.

In Star Love

Subject: Bradford 482
On August the 8th Bradford OES #482
had a fund raiser for the Bradford 1st Responders.
Our goal was $1000 to be used for an air blanket.
We exceeded our goal and were able to
present the 1st Responders with a check for $1000 at their August meeting.
These men and women are the life line for our community.
We are located 25 miles from the nearest hospital.
Most families in and around Bradford have had personal
experences with this group and can not say enought about their dedication.
We all need to give special thanks to the
public servants in our communities that daily
give of their time to ensure the safety of their neighbors.
