DREAMS

Feathers float lightly on a breeze, from above
To below, and rise again,
Like your breath as I lie, watching you sleep,
Shallow moonlight seeps through the unclosed blinds
Sometimes cold, tired, but never truly alone
Your presence fills my mind anytime I feel low.
Patience is all we need to believe in,
As we sit so far away, out of physical touch.
I wrote a letter to you just yesterday,
And it climbed across the water.
I send my all reduced to words on a page,
For you to keep until our next call.
