MEXICO SUNRISE
Soft lapping of the ocean
withers thought,
On silent beach, so late at night.
Stars stretch towards the Galaxy's end,
I glanced upon Latin love's delight.
Elizabeth, your image
rules my mind,
The youth and knowledge of your tiny form.
Knowledge seemingly beyond your eighteen years
With language, love, and thoughts deep borne.
Your eyes do shine, reflect
the heavens,
Dots bright and glimmering, alive, alone.
A smile to warm a fiery sun, turns
To lips so soft pressed on my own.
When our hour alone came
to a sad end,
You walk away, your soul free from pain.
A quick, happy hug, a short and timely kiss,
Whilst my battered heart begs your touch again.
Who wishes for a night
so right?
Now home, where only sweet memories remain.
Dreams pale to nothing in sight of you,
I fight the darkness to relive once again.
