I travelled to Mexico in the summer of 1999. On this trip I only had a short time, so was not quite like some of the others. I still feel I saw an amazing amount of places, and discovered a country I cannot wait to return to. Everything was just superb there. Started in Mexico city, spent a few days looking at buildings and museums, then on to Taxco, a silver-mining village in the mountains. Next to Acapulco on the south coast for beaches and parties. a bus ride to Puerto Escondido to enjoy the little surfers haven and backpackers meeting place. Next stop was Oxcaca to visit the ruins at Monte Alban, then back to Mexico city for a few more days before home. |
