Arkansas State Route 549 runs north-south in Miller County. This starts at Arkansas State Route 245/Future Interstate 130, at Texarkana, and ends at U.S. Rt. 71, near Doddridge. This will become Interstate 49 when the highway is extened north from Shreveport, Louisiana. The 2006 Arkansas State Highway Map indicates that the final portion of the highway between AR St Rt 549, and the Arkansas/Louisiana State Line is under constuction.
