Too many times you’ve left me waiting all alone
With no indication of when you would be home

I’m so tired of hoping to see the love in your eye
I no longer bother to even wonder why

You came into my life and moved into my heart
I believed your promise that we would never part

Our thoughts were united our hearts beat as one
Nothing could dim the shining of our sun

The tears run daily like a river down my face
I’ve lost hope that we’ll ever be in the same place

You say you’re always with me forever in my soul
But the only thing I feel is just a lonely hole

I’ve ceased to pretend that together we will be
Please don’t feel the pain that’s now surrounding me

Reality finally sets in and I know what I must do
The hardest thing I’ve ever done is say good-bye to you

So you’ve walked away from me for the very last time
You will no longer be allowed to break this heart of mine

The door shuts behind you as you leave me all alone
When you return, expecting me, I will not be home
