The tear that stands ever ready to fall
The weeping that echos into the night
The exhaustion of wanting something so long

The desperation as the dream fades
The supposition that it's not meant to be
The begging and pleading for there to be a way

The resignation as hope departs
The sorrow that clouds my sky
The suffocating pillow of doubt
