Oliver
Ink on paper
This is a painting I am very proud of. I wanted to experiment in ink, and since I had started wildlife in oil and moved to landscape in oil, then to landscape in ink, I decided to go to wildlife in ink. Although most wouldn't consider this pet kitty wildlife, it's an animal as all others. This is indeed a real cat named Oliver, or Ollie, and he is a grey Maine Coon. He is in fact my girlfriend Ariel's cat, and she is now in posession of my greatest ink yet.

I enjoyed painting this one alot, and especially like the way the ears and the eye turned out. I believe that the eyes are the most important part of a representation such as this. And as you can see in the ear, even the simplest of forms say enough.
