Accompanying herself on guitar and singing Folk, Blues, Rock, Country and Bluegrass, Shelley Ellen regularly turns up at some late hour at Tzora but is ever ready to do a set either by herself or with one of the impromptu groups that inevitably, close a session of the Folk Club.
Born Shelley Ellen Eisenberg in Brooklyn and growing up on Long Island N.Y., she performed in coffeehouses and festivals throughout her home area before moving to Israel in the mid 70's.
Since arriving in Israel, Shelley has worked with Moadon HaTeatron and appeared regularly at the "Jacob's Ladder" Folk Festival, craft festivals, Kibbutzim and Folk Clubs throughout the country.
Together with Esther Haynes, she formed the Country/Swing Duo, "Southern Comfort" and has performed "live!" on the Israeli radio station "Galei Tzahal". As well as these talents, Shelley also teaches guitar.
