Yuval Berger lives at Moshav Hagor (just above the Petah Tikva line). Until recently he had hardly any musical background. In January 1999 he first performed, at the Tel-Aviv Folk Club simply because he thought that there was not enough Irish music being played there. He then started taking vocal and guitar lessons from Ralph Golomb. After learning that the best way to skip the admission fee at Tzora (and to get a free beer) is to be a regular performer, he made a successful attempt to become one himself. He sings all types of Irish songs in English. He is now trying to learn some "Irish" in order to be able to perform his songs in Irish-Gealic as well.
