Ashland Chapter No. 67 R. A. M., was granted a dispensation from the Grand Chapter, Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, On June 13, 1855, and the first meeting was held on June 18th of the same year. Each meeting was called from labor to refreshments until the end of the month when the Chapter was duly closed, and at the beginning of a month a Chapter of Royal Arch Masons was duly opened.

Masonry is a way of life. Each Branch is inter-related with the other.The work of the Chapter completes that which precedes it, and is also necessary for that which follows. Capitular Masonry occupies a high place of distinction, for it is the capstone of the ancient craft.
