WAY, WAY, DOWN UNDER
Beautiful people, those Australian and New Zelanders - even if they drive on the wrong side of the road. Beautiful sparse spaces, one where sheep seemed to have been kings - in spite of their fate as eventual roasts. The other, where one can always find  good jokes told even by the most conservative people. Loved both. Only wish that my wife would get to see those paradoxical lands... Yes, Australia and New Zealand are different countries in spite of what Americans usually imagine.
John Rowe - Proud Australian. Good humor, even if he does often take himself too seriously.
Sydney - This photo wasn't mine. I did, however, get to see the view. Thus the reason why I appropriated it.
My first detailed view of Sydney from one of the floors of the Chevron Hotel and King's Cross. The Chevron is now under Japanese ownership and I would not be able to afford it even if I were on expense account.
Although my only connection with Brisbane was derived from my visit to the University of Queensland, and to the Ramsay's Office in that city, I shall always be thankful to Bill Balding, whose hospitality and humor I shall always remember, although at this moment we probably would not recognize one another if we crossed each other on the street.
