TOO EASY!!

The next fight was between Date and Kobayakowa. Kobayakowa was doing some stretches and warming himself up in his corner. He had heard of Date's reputation as a quick fighter who aimed for the pressure points with amazing accuracy. He looked over at the "one eyed dragon" as he was commonly known. Date was standing still, arms crossed and just staring back at Kobayakowa like it was all too easy. This match was all too easy for Date. Kobayakowa wasn't the greatest fighter when he stood alone; he didn't guard himself very well and was a better team scrapper. Always good to have as back up in a war, but in a hand-to-hand, one-on-one fight, he was quite simply, outmatched.
"Kobayakowa san? What say we get this fight over and done with quickly? I don't really feel like waiting around for round two." called out Date. His voice tore at Kobayakawa's insides, who was trying very hard to not let fear overcome him - to no avail. He knew what that meant. Date planned to slowly stride over, plant his hand on one of the many pressure points all over his body, and he would go down like a sack of rice. He didn't know where many pressure points were, how could he possibly defend them all? And with Date moving so fast, it was impossible.
"Address your opponent!" ordered Yokobue, and Date and Kobayakowa walked to the center. The bell was rung and they bowed to each other. Kobayakowa rose first and saw a chance to take out Date before it was too late. He clenched his right hand and covered his fist with his left hand, closed his eyes and swung heavily downwards connecting to the back of Date's neck. Kobayakowa withdrew his arms to his sides slowly, and opened his eyes. Date had not moved from his bowing position.
Kobayakowa was frozen and Date started to straighten his back and stand up incredibly slowly. As his head rose, his face was revealed and a small smirk had crossed Date's face. He looked right into Kobayakowa's face and commented "I was waiting for that! Now... my turn!" and he snatched Kobayakowa's shoulder and squeezed. Kobayakowa was paralized in pain and cried out in agony, breathing rapidly between cries. He dropped to his knees and Date's hand followed.
After 30 seconds Date looked up at the two judges, grinned and then shrugged. "I guess I won", pointing to the man with closed eyes who appeared to be sitting on his heals.
"He does not appear to be knocked out Kobayakowa, more like he's sitting, concentrating and waiting for you to attack. Continue the match." replied Kazu-no-Miya.
"Are you sure he is not unconscious?" He walked around to the back of the unmoving man and gave him a little shove to the back of his head, and Kobayakowa crashed into the mat with a loud thunk, but no release of air or groan came from his mouth.
Date shrugged again, "I guess he's out after all."
He struted off the stage, and as he walked past the next two fighters, he looked straight at Honda. "Too easy for men like us huh?" to which Honda answered "Never underestimate an opponent Date san. That's always been one of your weaknesses."
