In Celebration of  the 33rd Nutrition Month

“Lifestyle of the Youth, Way to the Future.”

There were contests: poster making, draw and tell, singing and poem recitation for the kids and cooking nutritious food for mothers.  There were clowns who sang, dance and performed magic to the delight of everyone.  There were loot bags full of nutritious goodies courtesy of friendly companies.

But it was the vegetable-decorated tricycles ridden by vegetable-adorned kids that stole the day’s show.  Designed by participating barangay day-care centers the mini floats carried the message of promoting affordable nutritious food from vegetables that Candaba produces in increasing volume, especially in the higher fields of the Tagalog region.

Part of the development plan of the municipality is to make Candaba a major food producer.
