Career

Tsutomu was born in 1929 and Yukiko was born in 1930, We are ceramists and storywriters both of us.

Tsutomu: (Mu-an)
Kokugakuin Daigaku University graduation.
About 1945~. After the war, it enter a literary pursuit activity.
About 1946~49. It meets famous ceramic art critic "Muneyosi Yanagi",
and he let me know a way of appreciating ceramic arts.
In earnest, it enters a literary activity from around 1947 and it published
the novels at the nameless magazines.
In 1956, it is Yukiko Funayama and the marrige of the literary pal.
While doing the same year, a literary activity, it begins work in the ASAHI Shimbun Publishing bureau, too.
It utilizes the experience and it works an active part in the publishing world.
Autumn in 1958, while doing works, it makes ceramic kiln by myself and
it begins ceramic works.

Yukiko: (I'kkow)
The prefectural Kawasaki High School graduation.
The grandchild pupil of the Japanese famous novelist Osamu Dazai.
While applying to the ceramic art at present, it releases "Waka" every month. * "Waka" is classical Japanese poetry composed in combinations five- and seven-syllabled lines.

About both of us:
After doing the work of "Asahi Shimbun" in the retire, it builds the ceramic kilns newly in the moving, at the cottage in the mountain on Izu peninsula in the resort place in the suburbs of Tokyo and it begins writing storys and the life of the ceramic art.
At present, it has two working rooms to the mountain cottage and the next city and it is guiding ceramic art by the volunteer tothe people and the schoolchildren in the suburbs.
Also, it manages a permanent gallery in resort hotel "Tokyu Harvest Club Amagi highland".

Writings:
"The tale of the daughter at the vegetable store and navice priest at the temple", it published in 1990. -----The true story of historical famous religious tragedy in the Edo period.-----
"The historic considering of a Daienji temple", it published in 1991.
-----The tale at the famous temple to bee had a tradition by on the history.-----

The present writing activity:
The history and the present situation of the ceramic art in Japan. -----Serializing every month.
The story a historic spot of Daienji Temple (This is rewrite of "The tale of the daughter at the vegetable store and navice priest at the temple"-----Serializing every month.
Twice, Yukiko write "Waka" having to do with an autobiography every month, about 5,6 and serialize it.
