Culley, 66, retired Cheasapeake and Ohio railway conductor, who died Sunday night at his home, 845 Twenty-Sixth Street, after a lingering illness, will be held today at 5 p.m. at the Peninsula funeral home. The Reverend J. T. Mills, pastor of Grafton Methodist Church, will officiate, assisted by the Reverend J. W. Dixon, pastor of Chestnut Avenue Methodist church, and the Reverend W. B. Estes, pastor of Hampton Roads Methodist church. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetary. Mr. Culley was born November 24, 1868, in York County, Virginia. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen; Cook Camp No. 49, Woodmen of the World; Sons and Daughters of Liberty; and the volunteer firemen. Mr. Culley was in the employ of the C.&O. for 43 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nora Culley; one son, W. J. Culley; two daughters, Miss Mary Lee Culley of Brooklyn, New York, and Mrs A. W. Thomas of this city; one sister, Mrs. Lee Elliott of Fox Hill; five grandchildren and several neices and nephews. Pallbearers will be: Active: W. E. Bryant, E. G. Royer, Robert Hancock, J. E. Davis, R. B. Barker, and Emmett Heath. Honorary: Members of the Men's Bible class of the Trinity Methodist church and friends of the family. Burial:

Monday Funeral For Vernon Lee
Funeral services will be held Mondy for Vernon Lee. 71-year-old retired oilfield roughneck who died Friday at 8 p.m. at Lea General Hospital.
Rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. E. J. Price of Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Harry Lee, Lester Braswell, Henry Griffin, Leon Lyles, John Efird, Calvin Davidson and Joe Scott. Honarary pallbearers will be other members of the IOOF Lodge.
Lee's survivors are his widow, Ada. 710 North Thorp: three sons, Jack and Douglass Lee of Hobbs and Vernon Lee Jr. of Fairbanks, Alaska; two daughters, Mrs. Howard Coulston of Hobbs and Mrs. Joseph T. Pope of Albuquerque, a brother, Rufus Lee of Cleveland, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Vergie Oxsheer of Nacogdoches, Tex. and Mrs. Lubbye Haltom of Cleveland Tex.: 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Lee was a veteran of World War II. and was a member of the IOOF Lodge in Lovington and the IOOF Encampment of Hobbs. He had lived in Hobbs and Lovington since 1944.
