Samuel Varnadoe

1754 On Sunday August 25th in Orangeburgh Church. Samuel, son of Leonhard and Sarah Warnedow; born Febr. 15th 1754. Suscept. Jacob Koonen, Isaac Hottow and Ann wife of Peter Griffice. (Rev. Giessendanner) PVT, Militia, 1781. Samuel Vernado, wife, seven children, two negros issued passport in GA on March 18, 1811 to travel through the Creek Nation of Indians. One for Messrs. Samuel Vernado, and James Hughes the former with his wife seven children and two negroes, and the latter with his wife nine children and two negroes, and one passport for Mr. John O. Macker, with his wife and three children, Mrs. Sarah Macker and nine negroes, all from Orangeburgh district of South Carolina. Migrated to Mississippi in 1809 and settled on the Mississippi - Louisiana line near Osyka, Pike County, MS. DAR 675741. Samuel Varnado on the 1813 tax list, Marion Co., MS (2 slaves) Also, Moses and Lenord. Passport issued by Governor of GA on Wed 1st Nov 1809, also on passport was brother Moses, William Boile and John Shilling.
