William J. Hutto Jr.

Tombstone inscription, Hutto Family Cemetery, Bamberg County, SC:

Hutto, William J. Jr. Son of Charles & Elizabeth Hutto, born the 24th day of March, 1844 and died of disease contracted in camp, 29th December, 1862. He joined the army on the 9th of December, 1861, participated in three battles without being hurt. He was cut down in the bloom of life and in prospect of heaven.
