Chilton Rutledge Isaacks

OBITUARIES

ISAACKS

Rutledge Isaacks, 68, 634 Hampton Rd., died Thursday. He had been a resident of El Paso 46 years, was a member of the El Paso Bar association and the American Legion.

Survived by his wife, Mrs. Bernice Isaacks; son, Sam J., Alpena, Ark.; 2 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Isaacks of El Paso, Buford Isaacks, Cleburne, Tex., three sisters, Miss Maude Isaacks, Mrs. W. K. Johnston, and Mrs. George Foster, all of El Paso.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday.

Kaster & Maxon Chapel, Rev. Pat Stephenson officiating.

Burial in Rest Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Don Evans, B. E. Schwarzbach, Jr., Richard Isaacks, Cecil Ming, Jrs., Homer L. Dale and Wade Johnston.

He was married to Lilly Spencer Dale (daughter of Leander A. Dale and Nannie George McDaniel) on 19 Jan 1921 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. Lilly Spencer Dale was born on 29 Jul 1900 in Abilene, Taylor County, Texas. She died on 5 Aug 1942 in Pecos, Reeves County, Texas. She was cremated in Pecos, Reeves County, Texas. Chilton Rutledge Isaacks and Lilly Spencer Dale had the following children:

i. Samuel Jackson Isaacks.

He was married to Bernice Alene Shelton (daughter of Charles Melvin Shelton and Cora Ophelia Hartson) in 1946 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. Bernice Alene Shelton was born on 20 Jun 1901 in Pond Springs, Williamson County, Texas. She died on 9 Apr 1975 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. She was buried in Cedar Park Cemetery, Cedar Park, Williamson County, Texas.

Jackson Willard Isaacks

Mr. Isaacks worked with the telephone company in El Paso, Texas, in 1935, and was a resident of Phoenix just before his death. Mrs. Isaacks lived in El Paso after her husband's death and was a schoolteacher in the public schools there. Mrs. Isaacks was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of El Paso.

Jack Isaacks, Formerly of El Paso, Dies

Jack W. Isaacks, 54, Phoenix, Ariz., died in a local hospital late Sunday night. He had come to El Paso, his hometown, for surgery.

Mr. Isaacks is survived by his widow, Mrs. Guinnell Isaacks; a daughter, Miss Guinnell Isaacks of Phoenix; his father, Judge S. J. Isaacks, El Paso; three brothers, Buford, Rutledge and Bill Isaacks, and three sisters, Mrs. Inez Foster, Mrs. Rena Johnston and Miss Maud Isaacks, all of El Paso.

Funeral arrangements were pending with Kaster and Maxon Funeral Home.

He was married to Guinnell Austin (daughter of Kit Patrick Austin and Harriett Dodsen) on 16 Mar 1929 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. Guinnell Austin was born on 9 Aug 1904 in Elgin, Travis County, Texas. She died on 17 May 1975 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. She was buried in Rest Lawn Cemetery, El Paso, Texas.

ISAACKS

Mrs. Guinnell A. Isaacks, 3809 Hillcrest Drive passed away Saturday. She had been a resident of El Paso for 21 years and was a Member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She was retired from the El Paso Public Schools.

Survivors: Daughter, Mrs. Guinnel Schwarzbach; grandchildren, James Edward Schwarzbach, Rebecca Schwarzbach, all of El Paso.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Harding-Orr & McDaniel Pershing Dr. Chapel, Dr. Brodace Elkins officiating.

Interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Helen Isaacks, lifelong El Pasoan

Helen Isaacks, 81, of El Paso died Sunday (May 13, 1990).

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Evergreen Alameda Cemetery.

Survivors include her sister, Bobbie Evans.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill. She was a lifelong El Paso resident.
