1835 Bevil District TX census:
Benjamin RICHARDSON, Married Farmer 59
Rebecca RICHARDSON, 27
Nancy RICHARDSON, 22
Andrew RICHARDSON, 19
William RICHARDSON, 17
Robert RICHARDSON, 15
Ketchum RICHARDSON, 8
George RICHARDSON, 6
Sarah RICHARDSON, 4
Repley RICHARDSON, 2
Nancy never married.
Probate records of Benjamin's estate indicate she was of "unsound mind". She is in 1860 census with Stephen L. Davis and Rebecca, but does not appear in 1870 census.

William served in the Texas Revolution and received a bounty grant of 640 acres in Foard County.
1850 Jasper County Census lists William at age 33 as a shoemaker.
Correction received from Bill Richardson of Channelview, Texas 24 January 1998:
William did not serve in the Texas Revolution, nor did he receive a grant of land in Foard County. The William Richardson who received the land in Foard County was a colonist in Vehlan's colony. William did receive a third class grant in Jasper County, however. There is no record anywhere of him servicing in the Texas Revolution.
The one in the 1850 census may or may not be this William. There were three or four William Richardsons in Jasper County at this time and I've had difficulty sorting them out. Still working on it. His brother, John, in a petition filed in 1858 says he is deceased, but he apparently appears in later documents, possibly . . .really confusing.

Email from Clovis Davis:
I think your A.J. was my Samuel's brother. He was married to Sicily Beatty if I recall right and they are both buried in a Baptist cemetery close to Tarkington Prairie. Samuel had a son named A.J. who married Nancy Jane Tomlinson, also from Tarkington Prairie. They had three children before A.J. died. Those children were:
Melissa Adeline
Virginia Jane(my great grandmother)
A.J. Jr.After A.J. Sr. died, Nancy Jane and her three children went to live with Samuel and Martha and are enumerated on the 1870 US Census, Lynchburg P.O., Harris Co., TX with Samuel and Martha.
Nancy Jane (Tomlinson)Isaacks remarried a fellow named Fredrichs and had two daughters, Lucy and Sadie, and a son, Alexander, by him. They are enumerated on the 1880 census in ED 78(Lynchburg) Nancy and her new husband died and Jenny took the children up to Madisonville to live. I think she had some Tomlinson kin up there.
Melissa Adeline married a fellow named Ballentine and they lived in Corpus Christi with Melissa returning to Seabrook, TX and working for the State or County there.
I don't know if she had children or not. My grandfather referred to her as "Aunt Missy" and spoke of traveling to Corpus Christi to visit them.Virginia Jane married my g grandfather, Thomas Peter(Pete) Davis in Madisonville,TX. They moved to Falls Co. , Sour Lake during the Spindle Top Boom, and then to Oklahoma. I believe that Pete must have been working for Samuel as my grandfather said he had hauled freight before he was married.
A.J. Jr.(Drew) drowned when he was 15 or 16 according to notes left by Jenny.
This should clear thins up a little.
