Isaacs 38, listed in the Virginia City, Storey County, NV census, listed as born in TX. His occupation was "miner". I wonder if Frederick tried his hand in the silver mines?

24 Aug 1867 registered to vote (Lived at Bluff Dale.) Stated 30 years in Texas. ( 6 yrs in Erath Co.)
Note; From the book THE HILLS OF CHEROKEE, 13 July 1846, A William Isaacs was elected county commisssioner. Jacksonville; towns earliest citizens were Isaacs.
From; the book HOOD COUNTY HISTORY ;
"At their Paluxy home Fred Isaacs was also early settler,but having died soon after his settlement,his widow remained to brave the dangers of frontier life at their exposed home, where she suffered , many alarms and losses from Indians raiding the settlement."
