| Unit-02 Production type The first production type Evangelion. Although specifically built for combat, it is the weakest of the first four Evas. It is piloted by Asuka Langly Sohryu and later Kaworu Nagisa |
| Unit-03 Production type Infected by an angel on it's way to Japan, it became the 13th angel. it was destroyed when Gendo had the Dummy Plug activated in Unit-01. Unit-03 was piloted by Toji Suzuhara |
| Unit-04 Production type Unit-04 was never even shown in the show. while being installed in Unit-04 an S2 engine self destucted destroying the entire second branch of NERV |
| The Evangelions are huge bio-mechanical weapons designed to fight the angels. The first four (units 00 - 03) were modeled after the four Barons of Hell. One had a featureless face and a single eye(unit-00), one had four eyes and two jaws(unit-02), one had long arms(unit-03),and one had gnashing teeth and a single horn in the middle of it's head. |
