| The First Angel - Adam Adam is the angel that caused the second impact. When the Katsuragi Research team attempted to shrink him He self destructed destroying most of Antarctica. The managed to clone the pieces of him and create an Adam in an embryotic state. |
| The Second Angel - Lilith Lilith is the Angel nailed to a cross in the Terminal Dogma. It is widely thought to be the First Angel, But Kaworu later revealed that the Angel nailed to the cross was Lilith, not Adam. The SEELE symbol has the seven eyes of Lilith. |
| The Third Angel - Sachiel The first Angel to appear in the series. Shinji was dispatched in Unit-01 and Eva saw it's first battle. After being brutally beaten, Unit-01 went Berzerker And destroyed the Angel. |

| The Fourth Angel - Shamshel The second Angel to appear in the series. Shinji was again sortied in Unit-01 to destroy the angel. After attempting to destroy the S2 engine with the prog knife Unit-01 ran out of power leaving Shamshel well perserved for NERV scientists to study. |

| The Fifth Angel - Ramiel The fifth angel appeared over NERV and began drilling into the Geo-Front. Unit-01 was assigned to snipe the angel using the JSSDF positron rifle with Unit-00 as backup. It was the first joint operation of 2 Evas. |

| The Sixth Angel - Gaghiel The sixth angel appeared during the transport of Unit-02. Shinji and Asuka defeated it in Unit-02 by opening its mouth and permiting the battleships to enter and selfdestuct destroying the angel. |
