What is Evangelion?

In the year 2000 CE earth was attack by beings known as Angels. On September 13 2000 a research team in the Antarctic attempted to shrink an Angel into an embriotic state. Although they succeeded in doing so, the energy released was so imense that it melted the polar ice cap. This incident was called the Second Impact. By the year 2014  NERV had begun testing a weapon to battle the angel if they ever returned, the Evangelions, giant robots controled by a pilot. To find out more buy the episodes.
