Hey Corey;
You're getting close.

One can not PROVE certain things. However, the old adage "He who asserts must prove" applies. Whoever is the one who asserts such and such exists shoulders the burden of PROVING such and such exists. YOU don't have the burden of proving it DOESN'T.

Example: Let's say someone asserts a web page exists that, if you look at if for more than 3 minutes, all your hair will fall out. He refuses to give you the web address, and he further challenges you to PROVE HIM WRONG.

Guess what? You can NOT prove him wrong. It's impossible. But the good news is, you don't have that responsibility, for HE is the one who was asserting and therefore he is the one who must cough up the evidence. Likewise the existence of gods.

Hope this helps.

Mark,

Let's see, because atheism does not assert there is a god(s), nor shares that burden of proof, nor sees any sufficient evidence for god(s), nor is a belief in god(s), therefore atheism is true then?

Corey;

Unless your blind or retarded, I think I've spent enough time listening to you parroting back what I've already said.

IF you have a point, get directly to it. Otherwise, I don't have time.

Hey Robert;
I KNOW it was a good analogy- and EXCELLENT analogy. And Corey just totally passed over it. I wish just for once I could find an honest Christian who wants to discuss issues and not play these stupid games that make them feel they're soooooooooooo clever.

Mark,

I'm not so sure why you're taking such a hostile tone all of a sudden.  And I think sending me Robert's e-mail was a cheap shot. Obviously, that was an effort to help justify yourself and to secure your insecurity.

My point is this:  I just want to know how you know atheism is true. That's all.  I don't want to keep parroting everything you're saying, but I find it odd you can't even answer any of my questions when it's practically the very thing you're saying to me!  I'm just putting it in a form of a question just to make sure.  Anyway, it was interesting.

Gee, was that... uh, mind-blowing or what?

It's time to hit the books Mark...

... Because that conversation just sucked!
