Lightning lights as daylight
Yet warm enough the breeze
I sit before the candles
Praying on my knees
To gods of ancient lore
And godesses of love
And those who give me stregnth
From the lightning strewn above
Rain falls in the window
And lands upon my breast
One candle slowly dies
And slowly die the rest
And here I know I love you
Tho' far apart we lay
For us to be together
Is for what I kneel and pray
The dying candles light again
And slowly the storm fade
I kneel before the candles
And review the vow I'd made
Oh, I'd love you as a brother
Just a true and honored friend
But now I love you purely
Until my life's long end
