Yup, still in love...

Gonna stay that way too.

So then what happened? Well, just around New Years ('97-'98) Jon came out to Massachusetts to visit me. And it was very exciting. He got to meet the rest of my family, some of my friends, my dog, and he got to ride on a plane for the first time. So it was pretty cool.

It also ruled that we got to start the year 1998 together... little did we know we would not be so lucky for 1999.

Then in April during one of my breaks from student teaching, I went back out to Arizona to visit. This time tho' I stayed in his house (well, now his old house). That was an adventure all in itself. Let's just say that now like many couples we have a We-got-caught story. But I'm not inclined to tell it. I think I'll keep that one in the family. *lol*

Other than the getting caught thing, it was an awsome week together. I went to school with him, and sat in his classes with him ("Stop them, they're trying to learn for free!" "Use your phoney guns as clubs!" -The Simpsons) to keep him company. There was a lot of TV involved in the whole trip...

This would be Biosphere 2, which is in Arizona. We got to visit it on my spring break trip, wich was really neat, because I'd always wanted to go there. I got to see the most lady bugs ever to date (untill that Massachusetts lady bug epidemic later in the year), I met a real live chameleon and I brought postcards home for my fouth graders.

The best visit of all tho' has to be this summer (1998), when Jon spent 6 weeks living in my basement. Not only were we independant little buggers, but we had a lot of fun. We rented a ton of movies, went to Boston a few times, went to see Metallica (way cool) and assorted naughty bits...

I think one of the funnest daily type activities we did was the "nightly trash tv ritual". Every weeknight Jon, my sister Laura and I gathered in the living room, often all three of us on the sofa all snuggled up and we watched Talk Soup (on E!) and Bobcat's Big Ass Show (on FX). One night we rented Jerry Springer's Too Hot For TV and speculated on who's boobs were fake. Another night We introduced my sister to South Park by renting the six episodes avalible at that time and watching them before our trash TV came on.

By the way, I know to the average human it seems like we watch too much TV, but allow me to expain that one: just being together in the same airspace is heaven for us, two: I'm not going to publicly display a lot of what we do while we are not watching TV, and three: who says we are alwasy WATCHING all that intently anyway? *wink*

Here is Jon with my cat, Cleo. Jon got along so very well with my pets, except that Cleo is a white cat, and Jon almst always wears black clothes. I think his exact words after this picture was taken were, "Damn cat! i'm covered in hair!" Or something.

Here is Jon at The Plimouth Plantation in Plymouth, MA. We had a fun day trip there with my sister and my dad. Ask my sister about the really scary chicken.
